Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean is a vast territory of wild, visually stunning landscapes featuring large lakes, meandering rivers, towering mountains and a fjord carved out of a glacial valley. Located in the centre of the province and just north of Quebec City, Saguenay features such attractions as the huge Lake Saint-Jean (circled by the popular Véloroute des Bleuets or Blueberry Cycling Route) and the Valin Mountains, a popular spot for a variety of outdoor activities. The captivating Saguenay Fjord, with its sharp cliffs and sloping valley, is scattered with picturesque villages reminiscent of rural France.
